Description
For a wood-burning fireplace with an airtight seal to work properly — especially in high energy-efficiency homes (passive or low-consumption houses) — it's essential to draw the combustion air directly from outside.
The Concept range from Bodart & Gonay has an air intake on the underside of the unit (Ø125 mm) for this purpose. In certain installations, however, the space beneath the insert is limited or does not allow the connection to be made from the base.
Technical solution: The Horizontal Kit for outside air intake is the accessory designed specifically to solve this situation. It allows the air duct (Ø125 mm) to be connected through the rear of the unit, offering an installation alternative that is just as efficient and airtight.
