The INFIRE SMART 600 is a wood-burning insert designed to be built into the wall, combining the warmth of traditional fire with the most advanced technology. It belongs to the new generation of equipment from Bodart & Gonay, a manufacturer with over 70 years of experience, and complies with demanding European ECO DESIGN regulations.

Choose your door style

You can choose between steel door or glass door

• Steel door: More traditional, robust and classic appearance.
• Glass door: Maximum fire visibility, more contemporary and clean style.

Both options offer the same performance and quality.

A window to the fire

The door structure is positioned behind the glass, with the sides angled inward. This allows you to see much more fire and much less metal. The closing system has two positions: you can leave the door slightly open during ignition so the glass doesn't fog up, without needing to leave it fully open.

Clean combustion and always transparent glass

The equipment features a double smoke extraction system that directs hot air over the glass. This prevents soot from sticking, keeping the glass clean for longer. Additionally, the combustion chamber is deep, concentrating embers in the centre and preventing ash from spilling out of the hearth.

Maximum heat utilisation (without ventilation)

This model includes no fans. Heat is distributed through natural convection and direct radiation. It's the perfect option for:

• Well-insulated homes.
• Houses with double-flow ventilation systems that already distribute heat.
• Spaces where absolute silence is preferred.

To achieve high efficiency (up to 81.3% according to Flamme Verte certification), the interior incorporates a heat-reflecting plate (vermiculite material) that makes hot gases travel a longer path inside the appliance. This way, heat doesn't escape quickly through the chimney, but rather stays in the room, heating more efficiently with less wood.

Easy cleaning and maintenance

• Accessible ash drawer from the front: Remove ashes quickly and easily.
• Removable filter: Protects the interior from dust; pulls out and cleans easily.
• Removable air distributors: Extract without tools for deep cleaning.

Versatile installation

The combustion air inlet can be connected:

• From the rear (outside air intake).
• From the bottom (outside air intake).
• From the front (room air intake).

The feet are adjustable to level the equipment easily. The trim frames are:

• Slim 4 mm frame: Minimalist finish, almost invisible.
• 30 mm frame on 3 sides: Frames the fire on three of its sides.
• 30 mm frame on 4 sides: Frames the fire on all four sides.
