INFIRE SMART 680 Fireplace without ventilation BODART & GONAY

The INFIRE SMART 680 without ventilation is a wood-burning insert designed for wall mounting, combining the warmth of traditional fire with the latest technology. It belongs to the new generation of equipment from Bodart & Gonay, a manufacturer with over 70 years of experience, and complies with demanding European standards.

This model is slightly larger than the SMART 600, offering a wider fire view and slightly higher power, ideal for medium-sized rooms.

Choose your door style

You can choose between steel door or glass door, both at the same price:

• Steel door: More traditional, robust and classic appearance.
• Glass door: Maximum fire view, more contemporary and clean style.

Both options have the same performance and quality.

A window to the fire

The door frame is positioned behind the glass, with the sides angled inwards. This allows you to see much more fire and much less metal. The closing system has two positions: you can leave the door slightly open during lighting so the glass doesn't fog up, without needing to leave it fully open.

The fire view is 340 mm high by 537 mm wide, noticeably larger than the 600 model.

Clean combustion and glass always transparent

The unit features a double flue extraction system that directs hot air over the glass. This prevents soot from sticking, keeping the glass clean for longer. Additionally, the combustion chamber is deep, concentrating embers in the centre and preventing ash from escaping the hearth.

Maximum heat utilisation (without ventilation)

This model does not include fans. Heat is distributed by natural convection and direct radiation. It is the perfect choice for:

• Well-insulated homes.
• Houses with double-flow ventilation systems that already distribute heat.
• Rooms where absolute silence is preferred.

To achieve high efficiency (over 80%), the interior incorporates a heat reflector plate (vermiculite material) that makes hot gases travel a longer path inside the unit. This way the heat doesn't escape quickly through the chimney, but stays in the room, heating more efficiently with less wood.

Easy cleaning and maintenance

• Ash pan accessible from the front: Remove ash quickly and comfortably.
• Removable filter: Protects the interior from dust; easily removed and cleaned.
• Removable air distributors: Extracted without tools for thorough cleaning.

Versatile installation

The combustion air inlet can be connected:

• From the rear (exterior air inlet).
• From the bottom (exterior air inlet).
• From the front (room air inlet).

The feet are adjustable to level the unit easily. The finishing frames are included in the price and you can choose between:

• Thin 4 mm frame: Minimalist finish, almost invisible.
• 30 mm frame on 3 sides: Frames the fire on three sides.
• 30 mm frame on 4 sides: Frames the fire on all four sides.
