Description
The Phenix NEO range from Bodart & Gonay has redefined the wood-burning fireplace, pairing the drama of an open fire with the efficiency of a sealed, airtight system. The Phenix 105 NEO is the perfect choice for anyone who wants a generous format without giving up the most advanced technology.
Design and view of the fire:
With its great width and expansive glass surface, this insert becomes a true picture window onto the fire. The metal structure is exceptionally discreet, letting the flames take centre stage in the room. The purity of its lines and the simplicity of its design allow it to blend beautifully into any decorative style.
Two fireplaces in one:
At the heart of the Phenix 105 NEO lies its sophisticated retractable vertical door system:
- Open mode (live fire): The door glides upwards in silence thanks to a chain-and-counterweight mechanism running on ball bearings, with Eriflon rollers that guarantee silent operation and need no lubrication. In this position the firebox becomes a traditional open fire, perfect for creating atmosphere at gatherings and long evenings in.
- Closed mode (maximum efficiency): Lower the door and the appliance turns into a high-performance airtight insert. Combustion is almost total, which translates into high efficiency and reduced wood consumption.
Efficiency and heat output:
- Rating plate (heat output): from 12 to 18 kW.
- Useful efficiency: 77.3%.
Three adjustable baffles:
One of the great advantages of the Phenix 105 NEO is that it comes with 3 adjustable baffles (chicanes). This allows the firebox to be fine-tuned to the draught characteristics of your flue, guaranteeing optimum operation in any type of installation.
Technology designed around the user:
- Intelligent control: A thermostat lets you regulate the intensity of the fire manually or automatically. Should overheating occur, the system closes the air intake to protect the appliance.
- Always clean: The preheated-air glass sweep system keeps the glass clear so you always enjoy a perfect view of the fire.
- Large heat exchanger: Its extensive exchange surface delivers excellent heat transfer.
- External air intake: Fitted with a Ø125 mm external air intake, compatible with airtight and low-energy homes.
Guillotine door system:
- Opening: Vertical retractable (silent lift).
- Mechanism: Chains and counterweights on ball bearings.
- Rollers: Eriflon (silent operation, very low friction coefficient, no lubrication required).
- Airtight closing: Special guiding system.
- Tilting opening: Makes interior cleaning easy.
Technical specifications:
- Flue outlet: Ø250 mm.
- Hot air outlets: 2 outlets of Ø150 mm.
- External air intake: Ø125 mm (from the rear or from the base of the appliance).
- Heat exchanger: Large surface for optimum heat transfer.
- Baffles: 3 adjustable chicanes plus a fixed one, for maximum heat recovery and adaptation to the draught of every flue.
Finish options:
- Skamolex interior (vermiculite): Included as standard. A light finish that reflects the light and brings extra brightness to the fire.
- Metal interior: Paid option. Black steel finish, sober and contemporary in style.
- Finishing frames (included as standard): 4 mm frame or 30 mm frame (your choice).
- Ventilation kit: particularly quiet and efficient.

Beauty and function
The design of this stove is really elegant, it's not a space-taking thing. The roast it keeps is decent, it holds until dawn without problems. Here in Tarifa, where the wind is brutal, it works beautifully without being noticed. The construction transmits solidity, it is of those things that last generations. I have seen many models, but this combines visual and functional in an exceptional way. Every winter is one of those where you appreciate making the investment. It works without asking for anything, period.

Book purchase
The packaging came perfect, scrupulously protected. The size is exact for the space where we put it. It works consistently, day after day without failure. The construction is robust, of those who inherit. Warm up the whole room, no cold areas. It is from those decisions that years later you continue to value without a doubt. I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for something real.

Meeting point
Family and friends group around every night it works. The glass does not accumulate soot at the speed we thought. It's from those machines that give extra value to the house.
