The Phenix NEO range by Bodart & Gonay has reinvented the wood-burning fireplace, pairing the drama of an open fire with the efficiency of a sealed, airtight system. The Phenix 120 NEO is the fullest expression of that philosophy, built to be the focal point of any room.

With its generous width and a large glazed surface, this insert is the most panoramic in the entire Phenix range. The metal frame is remarkably discreet, letting the flames take centre stage. The purity of its lines and the simplicity of its design let it sit beautifully within any decorative style, from the most traditional to the most cutting-edge.

Two fireplaces in one:

At the heart of the Phenix 120 NEO lies its sophisticated vertical retractable door system:

• Open mode (live fire): The door rises silently thanks to a chain-and-counterweight mechanism running on ball bearings, with Eriflon rollers that guarantee smooth, silent operation and need no lubrication. In this position the firebox becomes a traditional open fire, ideal for setting the mood at gatherings and long evenings.
• Closed mode (maximum efficiency): Lower the door and the appliance turns into a high-performance airtight insert. Combustion is almost complete, which translates into high efficiency and reduced wood consumption.

Efficiency and heat output:

• Rating plate (heat output): from 12 to 18 kW.
• Useful efficiency: 77.3%.

Three adjustable baffles:

Just like the Phenix 105 NEO, this model comes with 3 adjustable baffles (chicanes). This allows the firebox to be fine-tuned to the draught of your own flue, guaranteeing optimal operation in any type of installation.

Technology built around the user:

• Intelligent regulation: A thermostat lets you control the intensity of the fire manually or automatically, with clear "+" and "-" markings. Should overheating occur, the system shuts off the air intake to protect the appliance.
• Always clean: The preheated-air glass wash system keeps the glass clear so you always enjoy a perfect view of the fire.
• Large heat exchanger: Its generous exchange surface (3.96 m²) delivers outstanding heat transfer.
• External air intake: Fitted with a Ø125 mm external air intake, compatible with airtight, low-energy homes.

Guillotine door system:

• Opening: Vertical retractable (silent lift).
• Mechanism: Chains and counterweights on ball bearings.
