The Kos component is not an autonomous heating system, but a load-bearing furniture manufactured in natural stone, specifically sized to act as surround and support for technical inserts from Ruby Fires or Xaralyn brands. Its primary function is to provide thermal mass and a stable base for equipment that generates flame effect without requiring a chimney.

Applicable in interiors where a visual focal point with auxiliary heating capacity is needed, without modifying the building structure or enabling smoke evacuation ducts.

Valid configurations:

• Electric insert (any model): 230V outlet 1m from equipment. Requires no ventilation. Zero emissions (no smoke, gases or particles). Maintenance: exterior cleaning of glass and stone furniture.
• Bioethanol insert (specific model): Cross ventilation in room (minimum opening area 100 cm²). Emissions: water vapour and CO2 in trace amounts (clean combustion). Maintenance: bioethanol replacement and burner cleaning.

Heat output performance with electric insert (estimated data)

• Nominal heat output: 1.5 – 2.0 kW (depends on selected insert)

Operational limitations of the material

The Kos natural stone furniture must not undergo extreme thermal cycles (temperature difference greater than 50°C between ambient and surface). With electric insert operating at maximum power, stone temperature can reach 40-45°C in zones near the emitter, a safe value for the material. With bioethanol insert, point temperature may exceed 80°C, requiring safety distances to combustible materials (minimum 50 cm on sides and top).
