The INFIRE SMART 950 with ventilation is the top-of-the-range model within the SMART wood-burning inserts from Bodart & Gonay. Designed for wall mounting, it combines the warmth of traditional fire with the latest technology. The manufacturer, with over 70 years of experience, has created this unit to exceed demanding European standards.

This model offers 81.6% efficiency and power up to 14 kW, making it the ideal choice for very large rooms, detached houses, chalets or country homes with high heating demand. The main difference from the non-ventilated model is that this unit features two low-consumption fans that help distribute heat faster and more evenly throughout the room, which is essential in such large spaces.

Choose your door style

You can choose between steel door or glass door, both at the same price:

• Steel door: More traditional, robust and classic appearance.
• Glass door: Maximum fire view, more contemporary and clean style.

Both options have the same performance and quality.

A panoramic window to the fire

The door frame is positioned behind the glass, with the sides angled inwards. This allows you to see much more fire and much less metal. The closing system has two positions: you can leave the door slightly open during lighting so the glass doesn't fog up.

The fire view is 414 mm high by 864 mm wide, the largest in the entire SMART range, offering a truly panoramic and immersive visual experience.

Clean combustion and glass always transparent

The unit features a double flue extraction system that directs hot air over the glass. This prevents soot from sticking, keeping the glass clean for longer. The combustion chamber is deep, concentrating embers in the centre and preventing ash from escaping the hearth.

High efficiency (81.6%)

With 81.6% efficiency, the SMART 950 makes excellent use of wood energy. This means:

• Less wood consumption to achieve the same temperature.
• Lower emissions of pollutants.
• Greater savings on heating.

Intelligent ventilation system

This model includes two direct current fans that consume very little electricity (maximum 26 W) and are especially quiet. The system works completely automatically:

• Starts automatically when the fireplace body reaches 55°C (you don't need to do anything).
• Shuts off automatically when the temperature drops below 55°C.
• Stops when the door opens so it doesn't draw in smoke, and resumes when the door closes.
• Two speeds to choose from: position 1 (slow and very quiet) or position 2 (fast and powerful).

Thanks to the aluminium heat exchangers, the air pushed by the fans heats up faster and with greater efficiency.

A notable feature of the SMART 950 is that it accepts logs up to 50 cm long, and you can load two logs simultaneously (2 x 33 cm or 2 x 50 cm depending on arrangement). This reduces loading frequency and is ideal for long operating periods.

180 mm smoke outlet

The SMART 950 has a 180 mm diameter smoke outlet, allowing better gas evacuation and more efficient draught in large fireplaces.

Easy cleaning and maintenance

• Ash pan accessible from the front: Remove ash quickly and comfortably.
• Removable filter: Protects the fans and electronics from dust; easily removed and cleaned.
• Removable air distributors: Extracted without tools.

Versatile installation

The combustion air inlet can be connected via the rear, bottom or front. The feet are adjustable to level the unit. The finishing frames are included in the price (4 mm, 30 mm 3 sides or 30 mm 4 sides).
