Unlike other design firms that prioritize the aesthetic showiness of the model over functionality, the philosophy of the Rocal brand has always been to offer very high efficiency, controlled consumption, energy efficiency and low particle and CO emissions.
The interior of the firebox is black vermiculite. It includes an additional supply of tertiary air that provides quality combustion (double combustion)
The Rocal Drop accepts external air intake, is suitable for Passive House. External air intake guarantees sufficient air supply for combustion, avoids the need to ventilate the home periodically due to the fireplace's oxygen consumption and provides more stable draft in unfavorable conditions.
It has been designed to be suspended on a wall but also admits the option of resting on a cylindrical base on the ground.
The visible tube is not merely decorative but already contains the duct that evacuates the smoke. It comes ready for installations for rooms with a floor-to-ceiling height of up to 2.70cm but can be ordered in larger sizes.
The ceiling trim acts as a decorative element for the joint between ceiling and tube. In addition, it is designed in a way that would hide a hypothetical cut in the tube in case the fireplace height needs to be adapted. This ceiling trim can be ordered inclined if the ceiling of the room where it is installed is sloped.
